Boarding School
Boarding school
consists of two weeks of obedience training.
This is another
option for dog training if the owner does not
have the time or
prefers the dog be trained by a professional
dog trainer in a
shorter amount of time. Your dog will be staying
at a trainer’s
house for that period. Your dog will also be used
as a demonstration
for when the trainer teaches other people to
train their dogs in
a private or group setting. Your dog will be
socializing with
all other types of dogs during that time.
Included in the training are two
handling lessons that must be
completed by the owner to achieve
certification for the dog in
the course that he/she was trained
in. On the day you pick up
your dog, your trainer will do a
demonstration of your dogs new
abilities.
You must provide a two-week supply
of your dog’s favourite food,
a 6 foot leash and 1 training
collar. Your trainer will supply the toys,
exercise, occasional treats etc.
A quoted price will be given
by your trainer during an evaluation
based on the nature of your dogs
behaviour and how much work
needs to be done to correct the
problems.
